Success Story: Rachele can’t remember the last time she felt this good about herself

Since the moment I turned 40, I noticed significant changes in my body and how I felt! I had heard all the stories about how things “change” for women, but honestly, I was not prepared with enough knowledge to truly understand what was happening. I started experiencing extreme fatigue, night sweats, brain fog, gas, bloating, significant digestive issues, weight gain, headaches, heavy periods, extreme pain during my menstrual cycles… and these are just a few of the symptoms that rocked my world. 

Perimenopause was causing such a negative impact on my quality of life, that I withdrew from others and stayed confined inside my house. I felt hopeless, so when a friend referred me to Merritt, I was open and willing to take any help I could get!

I’m pretty stubborn and set in my ways, let me tell you! But I needed help, and Merritt had a way of really listening to me and what my needs were. She worked with me to come up with a plan of action that challenged me to come out of my comfort zone while also aligning with what was realistic for me. She empowered me to take steps that set me up for success. I did struggle at times, but I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to adjust my plan and keep going. I noticed pretty immediate changes with almost every step forward. This completely changed my way of thinking and my way of life.   

It feels like EVERYTHING has changed for me!  I cannot remember the last time I felt this good about myself. 

I want other women who are struggling with hormone and gut health issues to know that they are not going crazy! Listen to your body, listen to your instincts. It is not hopeless. Help is out there, and you just have to be willing to take that first step. I will forever be grateful to Merritt for changing my life!

By participating in the Transform Your Health and Hormones program and embracing coaching, I learned how to eat healthy and why it’s important to me. I identified the foods that trigger my digestive issues, so I know what to eat and what not to eat to feel like my best self. I am armed with the knowledge of what hormone deficiencies can do to the body and the natural alternatives that combat those issues. I sleep comfortably through the night, and I have incorporated new routines into my day to deal with everyday stresses. I lost 21 lbs. I now look forward to making plans, and I no longer shy away from heading out to dinner or brunch with girlfriends. I am truly grateful to the power of knowledge, and to Merritt for teaching me to listen to myself!

I don’t know if there are any words to truly put into perspective how I feel after putting in the time and effort while working with Merritt! I’ve made sustainable lifestyle modifications that have changed my life, and I’ve truly learned so much about the female body, and most importantly about… myself!
